Hey friend, I’m Cori, and I am so excited you found your way here!
My biggest wish for every woman and girl I meet is this:
to get this body peace thing figured out, so you can stop stressing over diet and exercise and get on with the more important business of living a joyful, connected, purpose-filled life!
We are here not to beat our bodies into submission, but to care for one another and do the work we were meant to do.
When you can learn to move, eat, and rest in the way that honors and loves your body, rather than following the newest fitness trend or starting another diet, you will find that you not only have more energy but more clarity on what matters most! I want to help you do just that!
How I became a running coach:
I have been a runner since I was in middle school. At a very early age, I connected with running as a way to clear my head, help me work through whatever tough feelings or situations I might have going on, and to help me just discover confidence through challenging myself. I am a trained mental health counselor, so helping others comes naturally to me, and helping others to find their strength and confidence through running was a no-brainer to me! The minute I was able to earn my certifications, I did it!
My mission with Body Peace Running:
I want to create a community of women and girls who love to run because they love how it makes them feel, and who pursue caring for their bodies via that mindset: work hard, eat well, move well, rest well.
Let’s ditch the diet mentality. Let’s learn how to eat intuitively, by listening to our bodies and fueling for energy, and by eating the foods that bring us joy over connecting with others! Let’s love our bodies not because they are “perfect” (what is perfect, anyway!?) but because they are the vehicles that help us move through this world and live life to the fullest!
My background and training:
My background includes a master’s degree in Counseling and over twenty years of counseling and coaching teens and adults, as well as over fifteen years of wellness and running coaching. I am a National Certified Counselor, a Road Runners Club of America (RRCA) running coach, and a Rev2olution Running coach, as well as a PiYo trainer.
A little bit about my personal life:
I am a mom of three teenagers and have been married for over twenty years, so I understand how our relationships (and the demands of our family) can not only challenge us as we strive to achieve our goals, but can also uplift us and make our lives richer. I understand, and I want to help you find the balance you need so that you can feel amazing both in your body, and in your connections.
When I’m not coaching or running, I’m caring for my people, playing with our rescue dogs, listening to music, cooking, or reading!
